ALEX SKOLNICK TRIO

2004 release. Guitarist Alex Skolnick's, third solo project, the second in which he takes classic rock songs and rearranges them as electric straight ahead jazz instrumentals. The trio take on 'Highway Star' by Deep Purple, 'Money' by Pink Floyd, 'Electric Eye' by Judas Priest, 'Blackout' by the Scorpions, 'Don't Talk to Strangers' by Ronnie James Dio, along with six Skolnick originals, one of which features special guest Charlie Hunter on 8-string guitar. Alex Skolnick, guitars, vocals; Nathan Peck, double-bass, vocals; Matt Zebroski, drums, percussion, vocals. Special Guests: Charlie Hunter, 8-string guitar; Dave Eggar, cello-(one track each).
