In December 2001 Chick Corea spent a month at the Blue Note in New York City celebrating his 60th birthday with nine different bands performing every two nights over the course of three weeks. The ten DVD box set features duets with Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Gary Burton, Bobby McFerrin; The Chick Corea Akoustic Band with John Patitucci and Dave Weckl; the Three Quartets Band with Michael Brecker, Eddie Gomez, and Steve Gadd; the Now He Sings, Now He Sobs Trio with Miroslav Vitous and Roy Haynes; the Remembering Bud Powell Band with Joshua Redman, Terence Blanchard, Christian McBride, and Roy Haynes; the Chick Corea New Trio with Avishai Cohen, and Jeff Ballard; Origin with Steve Wilson, Steve Davis, Tim Garland, Avishai Cohen, and Jeff Ballard. The tenth DVD entitled 'Rendezvous In New York: The Movie' includes interviews with many of the artists that have played with Chick and is narrated by the actor Jeff Goldblum.
