DAVID GARFIELD/POTATO SALAD

2004 release. A group of southern California musicians get together and play some of their favorite songs by Los Lobotomys and Karizma, David Garfield hears about this and checks the band out, one thing leads to another and David's playing with the band, along with Karizma/Lobotomys alumni Larry Klimas and Lenny Castro. This cd is comprised of studio and live tracks, including original material as well as new arrangements of Los Lobotomys, Karizma, and Michael Landau tunes. One of the highlights is the band's version of 'Lobotomy Stew,' after hearing it, David thought it was better than the original! Six of the nine tracks were recorded at where else, the Baked Potato, on August 3, 2002. Kurt Dohy, Doug Nofsinger, guitar; Felix Nunez, bass; Dave 'Beaker' McNichols, drums. Special Guests: David Garfield, keys; Larry Klimas, sax; and Lenny Castro, percussion.
