2005 release. The Dub Room Special was previously only available on video upon it's release in 1982 and makes it's first official appearance on DVD anywhere world wide in 2005. The DVD features two concerts, the first recorded live in August 1974 at KCET studios in Los Angeles California for the TV special 'A Token of His Extreme,' and features Frank Zappa, on guitar, vocals; Napoleon Murphy Brock, sax, flute, vocals; George Duke, keys, vocals; Tom Fowler, bass; Chester Thompson, drums; and Ruth Underwood, percussion. The second concert recorded live in New York City on Halloween, 1981 features Frank Zappa and Ray White, on guitar, vocals; Steve Vai, guitar; Bobby Martin, Tommy Mars, keys, vocals; Scott Thunes, bass; Chad Wackerman, drums; and Ed Mann, percussion, vocals; also included is The Valley Girl Documentary with Frank, Moon, Dweezil, and Ahmet Zappa (and Steve Vai's Strat). Additional footage includes Massimo Bassoli and his rubber chicken, and the amazing clay animation of Bruce Bickford-(circa 1974).
