2000 release. This 2 cd set comprised of 'STEP BY STEP,' recorded in 1979, and 'PARADOX' recorded in 1981, marks the first time these two cds have been released domestically. 'Step By Step', the band's first studio recording, features Mike Mainieri on vibraphone, Michael Brecker, sax; Don Grolnick, piano; Eddie Gomez, bass; and Steve Gadd, drums. 'Paradox,' the group's third project, is a live recording from the same lineup with Peter Eskine on drums at Seventh Ave South in NYC. Also added as a bonus track, is a live alternate take.
