2011 release. Meridian Voice is an eclectic progressive band featuring some of the finest musical talent in the New York City area. This CD is instrumental symphonic fusion with loads of keyboards, structured compositions, with progressive rock influences. There are shades of Weather Report, Chick Corea’s Elektric Band, 1970’s Jeff Beck, Bruford, Allan Holdsworth, Tribal Tech and The Dixie Dregs, nostalgic perhaps but executed with a modern edge. The tunes are adventurous yet melodic, with lots of skillful playing and emphasis on groove and improvisation.
